Blue Ocean Strategy

Course Overview

Blue Ocean strategy is about growing your business in uncontested space (the wide blue ocean), not by swimming in the shark-filled waters packed with your competitors and tearing bits off each other (the red ocean).  

This strategy concept was defined by W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne in their book:  ‘Blue Ocean Strategy:  How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant”.

This workshop, which will enable Owners, Leaders, Managers to work through the principal phases of a blue ocean strategy and understand how to apply it themselves, to their own business.

Training Methodology

The training process is based on a carefully planned mix of succinct tutor input - with practical illustration of tools and concepts, group work on case studies (all video based - and lively), feedback, and selective work on individual issues in pairs. Team involvement and working enable a strategy to be created from start to finish. The Training is based on the 4 mat systems to enable complete learning. There will also be some opportunity for role play. You will receive an electronic toolkit within the material for subsequent everyday use.
